6 Ways to Level Up Your Life This Year

January 29, 20253 min read

If there’s one thing I’m always striving for, it’s improvement.

I’m constantly working toward new goals, pushing myself to new levels, and aiming to be better than I was yesterday. But let’s be honest—some areas of life are easier to work on than others. In order to grow we have to learn to let go of habits and mindsets that hold us back. We have to learn to create new habits and routines that will support our goals.

I’ve been reflecting a lot on what’s working (and what’s not) in my life, finances, and business. And I realized—sometimes, we just need practical ideas and steps to make a real change.

So, I’m sharing six powerful ways to level up this year. If you're ready to take things to the next level, let’s get into it!

1️⃣ Expand Your Knowledge

The more you know, the more you grow. Learning should never stop!

  • Read at least one book a month (finance, personal growth, or business books are a great start).

  • Money by Tony Robbins

  • When You Don't Like Your Story by Sharin Jaynes

  • Influence by Persuasion but Robert Cialdini

  • Listen to podcasts or audiobooks while commuting.

  • Ed Mylett

  • The JWLKRS Podcast

  • Focus ib The Family Podcast

  • Take an online course to develop skills that increase your income and impact.

2️⃣ Get Organized

A cluttered life leads to a cluttered mind. It’s time to streamline and simplify.

  • Organize important paperwork—credit reports, insurance, business documents, etc.

  • Set up a budget and track your expenses consistently.

  • Automate bill payments so you never miss a due date.

3️⃣ Create New Habits

Success doesn’t come from wishful thinking—it comes from daily action.

  • Use Sundays to meal plan and prep for a smoother week.

  • Have family meetings to align on goals, schedules, and finances.

  • Set a weekly “money day” to review your income, expenses, and credit.

4️⃣ Strengthen Your Credit

Your credit score affects everything—from interest rates to homeownership opportunities.

  • Review your credit report and dispute any errors.

  • Keep credit card balances low (ideally under 30% utilization).

  • Make on-time payments—this one habit alone can make a huge difference.

5️⃣ Increase Your Income

More income = more financial freedom.

  • Start a side hustle or monetize a skill you already have.

  • Negotiate a raise at work or explore new job opportunities.

  • Invest in assets that generate passive income, like real estate or stocks.

6️⃣ Improve Your Mindset

Your mindset is everything—it determines how far you go in life.

  • Practice gratitude daily (write down 3 things you’re grateful for).

  • Surround yourself with people who push you to be better.

  • Set boundaries—say NO to distractions and anything that drains your energy.
